1. Praise means to get exited about Jesus
-Remember the Old Testament wasn’t originally written in English. It was written in Hebrew. So sometimes the English words in the Bible can have more than one meaning to them, or there meaning can be a little different than we expect.
-The word “praise” has a lot more meanings than you think. There are about seven different words or meanings for the word Praise.
-Another meaning of the word praise is to shout

Let everything that has breath get Shout to the Lord

2. Have a shouting Contest

-Have volunteers come to the front and shout the Bible verse as loud as they can in the microphone

3. When should we Shout to the Lord

-When we are singing and worshipping Jesus
-When we are in the shower
-When we are in our bedroom
-When we are outside

-Should we shout to the Lord in the middle of class at school?
-Should we shout to the Lord when everyone in our house is sound asleep?

4. Joshua and the Battle of Jericho

-Joshua was in charge of a very important battle.
-Joshua was fighting to get the city of Jericho back into the hands of God’s people
-Jericho had a big wall around it.
-God told Joshua he would win if he did something very strange.
-Joshua obeyed God.
-Joshua got all his men together and told them they were going to do just what God said
-God told Joshua to march around the city with the men in complete silence seven times.
-On the seventh time they were to shout and yell and get excited about the Lord. They were to be as loud as possible. Some men were to blow trumpets.
-God said if they did this they would win Jericho
-Sure enough when they shouted and yelled and played the trumpets, the wall fell down.
-Joshua and his men won the battle against Jericho.
