2. Praise means to sing with all your heart to Jesus
-Remember the Old Testament wasn’t originally written in English. It was written in Hebrew. So sometimes the English words in the Bible can have more than one meaning to them, or there meaning can be a little different than we expect.
-The word “praise” has a lot more meanings than you think. There are about seven different words or meanings for the word Praise.
Today’s definition: To sing with all your heart to Jesus
Let everything that has breath sing with all their heart to the Lord
3. When can we sing to Jesus
-When we are at church
-When we are in the shower
-When we are in our bedroom
-When we are outside
-On our way to school
5. Moses
-Moses job was to free God’s people and take them to the promise land.
-One day they finally left Egypt – the Red Sea parted and they made it to the other side
-Before they did anything else, do you know what they did?
-They sang to the Lord.
-There is an entire chapter in the Bible where Moses and his sister sing to the Lord, thanking Him for their freedom.
-One way we can show God our love is by singing to Him.
-We can sing songs we know and we can make up songs.
-The Bible says that Jesus isn’t worried about whether we can sing or not.
-The Bible teaches us to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”
-God gets excited and happy when we sing to Him with all our heart.
