Introduction:
-Who is the Holy Spirit? God (God has 3 different parts – The Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
-When we decide to live for Jesus, God gives us the Holy Spirit
-The Bible teaches us that the Holy Spirit is our helper
#1. God chose your Body to contain the Holy Spirit
-God chose for your body to contain the Holy Spirit
-Go through the products and talk about how the company chose the container for each product.
#2. We get the Holy Spirit from God
-When we decide to live for Jesus, God gives us the Holy Spirit.
-The Bible teaches us that the Holy Spirit is our helper.
#3 We are not our own
-When we decide to live for Jesus we are not the bosses of our life anymore.
-We cannot do whatever we want to
-We belong to Jesus – we have to live the way Jesus wants us to
-Jesus wants to use us to do great things for Him
-None of these items are very useful or good to us unless we open them up and enjoy them or use them
-The Holy Spirit living inside of us is not useful unless we do something for God
-We need to let the Holy Spirit be useful in our life.
-We need to use the power the Holy Spirit gives us.
Conclusion:
-Everyone gets excited when they hear that God wants to use them, and that the Holy Spirit will help us do great things for God.
-First we have to think about this – in order for God to use us we have to let Him be the boss of our life.
-If Jesus is the boss, then we have to walk, talk and live the way He wants us to.
-We have to get rid of things in our life that do not please Jesus
-Attitudes
-Feelings of hate, unforgiveness
-Bad habits
-Bad things we watch on TV, listen to, Games we play
-Today I want us all to think of one thing we need to get rid of that does not please Jesus.
-Write it down – then we are going to throw it in the garbage as a symbol that we are going to get rid of this thing that does not please Jesus
