A. Introduction
-We have spent the last few weeks talking about loving God with all our heart.
-Today we are going to talk about loving your neighbor.
-Who is our neighbor?
-If we are going to live for Jesus we need to learn to love everyone – even those people who we do not get along with.
-Now when I say that we need to love everyone-does the face of someone you know go through your mind and the thought –“Well, I could never love that person?” or “Why should I love them after what they have done to me?”
-If we are going to live for Jesus we need to learn to love everyone – no matter who it is, no matter what they have done, and no matter how hard it seems to be.

What happens when we don’t love others?
-When we decide not to love others, and when we decide to carry around anger and hate, it weighs us down.

Add a book or a brick for every situation

-How can I love my mother after what she does to me – the way she treats me. I hate my mother. I ‘m not going to listen to her.
-How can I love my friend – they gossiped behind my back. I will never be their friend again.
-How can I get along with my brothers and sisters – they are always getting into my stuff. They ruin everything on me.
-How can I even care about my dad – He left me. I don’t even know him. I never want to see him
-I certainly don’t have to like my teachers-they are so mean and unfair to me.

All these feelings of anger, frustration, and anger towards others weighs us down and keeps us from living for Jesus.

We need to get rid of if – all of it!!
We need to decide that no matter what anyone had done or is doing to us that we are not going to be angry or hateful towards them.
