Introduction:
-Today we are going to talk about the 4 Most Important Things
-We talk about them so much because it is important that you remember the 4 Most Important Things.
-Our parents teach us lots of important things - like what?
-Our teachers teach us lots of important things- like what?
-There are 4 important things the Bible teaches us.
-These are the most important things you will ever learn.

1. God loves me.
Famous Inventors Quiz
-Who invented the telephone? (Alexander Graham Bell)
-Who invented the light bulb? (Thomas Edison)
-Who invented cars? (Henry Ford)
-Who invented the airplane? (The Wright Brothers)
-What did Steve Jobs help invent? (the computer)
-Who invented the Pencil? (Joseph Dixon)
-Who invented Coca-Cola (John Pemberton)
-Who invented the thumb? (God)

God created us - not just our thumbs -but all of us. He made us very special. Imagine what your life would be like without your thumb
-How would you write?
-How would you eat?
-How would you hold a football?
-How would you pick things up?

God took a lot of time to create us just perfect.
God made us all different.
Today I brought 3 ropes with me. They are all a different size.
God created us all different sizes.

(Choose a volunteer who is 5-6 years old. Have them come and stand at the front. Now have some volunteers and helpers who are older than this person come and stand at the front. Choose some tall people and some short people.)

All these people I have brought up to the front are different - sizes, ages, and they look different.

(Have them sit down.)

Just like these ropes are different in length. We are all different. (Prepare ropes)

But GOD LOVES US ALL THE SAME (Show the ropes all at the same length)

It doesn't matter where we live. It doesn't matter how old or young we are. It doesn't matter how smart we are or what a great athlete we are.

GOD LOVES ME!!!!

2. I HAVE SINNED
The Bible teaches us that, "ALL have sinned"

Who is "ALL"? Everyone

What is sin? The thing we do that displease God

Can you name some things we do that displease God.

It doesn't matter how much we go to church. It doesn't matter how good we try to be. It doesn't matter how much we pray. WE HAVE SINNED.

What's the big deal? Sin separates us from God. Sin deserves a punishment.

Example: When you disobey your parents or a teacher at school what happens? You get punished. When we disobey God, we deserve be punished.

There are different types of punishments
If you disobey your teacher, you might get a detention.
If you disobey the law, you might get a fine or a ticket.
If you really disobey the law, you might go to jail.
If you disobey your parents, you might get spanked or grounded.

The Bible teaches us that the punishment for sin is death.

Because of our sin we deserve to die and be separated from God forever.

3. Jesus died for me.
Jesus was punished for us.

When Jesus was whipped and then died on the cross-He did it for us.

Imagine if a police officer was about to take you to jail, when someone ran up to the police officer and said, "NO arrest me - Take me to jail instead. I will be punished so ___________ doesn't have to be punished."

What would you say? What would you think?

This is what Jesus did.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

4. I must decide to live for Jesus.

There is something very important we must do.

If we want to be forgiven for our sins and if we want our sins to be washed away forever, then we must decide to live for Jesus.

When we decide to live for Jesus, Jesus washes away our sins.

Let me show you what I mean.

(Take a little piece of the disolvo paper and write sins on it.)

Hold up the paper. This paper represents my sin.

(Hold the paper over a metal tray or container. Pour red water over it.)

(Hold up the red water) Jesus died as a punishment for my sin.

(Pour water over paper) When we decide to live for Jesus, He washes away my sin.

Jesus washes away my sin and gives me a new life.

When we decide to live for Jesus he also gives us a very important gift - the gift of eternal life.

Conclusion: God loves everyone very much. So much that He sent His son Jesus to die as a punishment for our sins. Now Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking. He wants to be apart of your life. He wants to wash your sins away. He wants to give you the gift of Eternal life. You have to decide to let Him in. Are you going to decide to live for Jesus? Are you going to let Jesus be apart of your life?
