a. Enoch’s great-great-great-great grandpa was Adam.
b. Adam was 600 years old when Enoch was born. Adam lived to be 930 years old. Enoch and Adam spent 330 years together.
c. Enoch loved to hear old stories from Grandpa Adam. His favorite story was the story about Eden-God’s Garden.
d. Eden was God’s garden. It was the most beautiful place on earth. There were lots of yummy fruit there and it was very beautiful.
e. Adam loved to tell the story about how God would come to the garden and walk with Adam. Imagine God and Adam walking together.
f. One day Enoch asked his great-great-great-great grandpa “Why did God stop walking with you?”
g. Adam said, “Because we disobeyed God. God told us we could eat all of the fruit in the garden except for the fruit on one tree. We were not to touch that tree. One day your grandma and I disobeyed God and ate the fruit from that tree. When we disobeyed God, we lost communication with God. God has never walked with me since. I have not walked with God for over 600 years.
h. Every time Enoch saw Grandpa Adam he would ask him to tell the story or how he walked with God.
i. Enoch wanted to walk with god so badly. He said “Grandpa I didn’t sin, so I can walk with God.”
j. Adam said, “My sin affected everyone and nobody has walked with God since.”
k. A consuming desire rose in Enoch to walk with God. All he did day and night was think about it. He wanted to know God like Adam knew God.
l. One day while Enoch was praying God showed up. Enoch was about 365 years old. His great-great –great-great grandpa had died not too many years before.
m. The Bible says Enoch walked with God. The Bible also says that Enoch pleased God. Why did Enoch please God? - Because of his faith in God.
n. Then one day God took Enoch into heaven and he has never been seen since. Enoch did not die like others. He was just taken into heaven.

Conclusion: Every day Enoch would go for a walk and call on God just because He wanted to know God the way his great-great-great grandpa Adam did. We can know God too. He wants to be our best friend.
