Story:
There once was a man named Naaman. Naaman was a very important man. He was a commander in the army.

Naaman had a disease named leprosy. Leprosy is a really terrible disease. It eats away at your skin. Everyone avoids people with leprosy because they think they will catch it.

Naaman wanted to know what he could do to get rid of it.

Elisha, one of God’s messengers heard about Naaman’s problem.

Elisha delivered a message to Naaman from God. The message was that Naaman was to dip himself in the River Jordan seven times, and then he would be healed.

Naaman thought these were very strange instructions. The River Jordan was a very dirty river. Naaman got mad at first. He did not want to go and dip in the River Jordan seven times.

But Naaman decided to obey what God told him to do.

Naaman went down to the Jordan River. He dipped once, twice etc. . . .

(Hold up the red cloth to represent Naaman, and dip the cloth in the change bag 7 times. The last time leaving the cloth in the bag)

He dipped himself seven times in the Jordan River just like Elisha told him to do.

On that seventh time something amazing happened – That disease he had-that leprosy had been completely washed away.

Naaman was made clean.

(Pull out the white cloth, and show there is nothing else in the bag.)

Elisha didn’t heal Naaman.

The River Jordan didn’t heal Naaman

God healed Naaman.

All Naaman had to do was to put is completed trust and confidence in God to be healed.

Conclusion:
With God all things are possible but we need to put our trust in God. We need to obey God and put our confidence in Him.

You don’t have to been an important person like Naaman was.

God considers us all important to Him.

In the Bible there are stories about God healing children, and woman, and beggars as well as people in authority.

The only thing you need to do is put your complete trust in Jesus.
