Discussion:

Introduction:
-Have someone in the room put some words in alphabetical order. (Prewritten on poster board)
-Have someone in the room put numbers in order.
-Have a contest between the boys and girls – putting the memory verse in order the fastest.
-If the words in the memory verse were mixed up this is how it would sound . . . . .
-What if we went to school in a mixed up order . . . grade 1, grade 6, grade 12, and grade 3?
-What if we mixed up our day . . .we wake up, we eat dinner, we do your homework, we put our PJ’s on, we go to school?
-What if God created the world in a mixed up order
i. Day one – light and dark
ii. Day two – sky and clouds
iii. Day three – dry land and plants
iv. Day four – sun, moon and stars
v. Day five – fish and birds
vi. Day six – animals and people
vii. Day seven – God rested

-Animals would die
-Plants wouldn’t have had sunlight
-People wouldn’t have had food

The Life of A Wise Person Has Order
-Go over a daily routine
-If our life had no order we would not
i. Be spending time with God
ii. Always go to school
iii. Always do our homework
-Our life would not be successful!!!!

Daniel’s life had order.
-When he first was captured and taken to Babylon the Bible says he was strong and wise.
-How did he get that way?
-Then when he was being trained to work in the king’s court, he refused to eat the king’s bad food and drink the king’s wine.
-Why? He wanted to be healthy and strong
-Some men were very jealous of Daniel. They wanted to destroy Daniel.
-They knew the best way to destroy him was to pass a law against God’s Word because they knew Daniel would never break God’s law.
-They did – They had the king sign a law that if anyone prayed to God for 30 days they would be thrown in the lion’s den.
-It was only temporary. Daniel could have said, “I’ll just wait 30 days to pray.”
-Daniel could have prayed in secret.
-Daniel went home, and prayed as he always did.
-The evil men were watching him and he was arrested.
-The great thing is that God was watching out for Daniel.
-God sent angels to close the mouths of the lions.

Conclusion:
-Hold up a ruler.
-Who has one of these things?
-What is it good for?
-Measure a few things.
-It is also good for something else.
-I can draw a straight line with it.
-It guides my pen along the paper so I have a straight line.
-If I were to try and draw a straight line all on my own what would happen?
-When we try to live an orderly life all on our own – it won’t work so well.
-If we let Jesus be our guide, we will lead a successful orderly life.
