Perseverance Is Like Running A Race
-Who has ever run a race?
-Who has ever run a race?
-Who has ever competed in cross-country or track and field at school?
-What do you do before you run those races?
-How is it to practice and work at something?
-Some people give up because they think it is too hard, but God wants us to never give up at anything we try to do.
-Perseverance is when you keep going and going and going.
-Great athletes keep going and going and going until they win.
-Students keep working and working and working until they pass
-Piano players keep practicing and practicing and practicing until they can play the piano
-Christians keep going and working and preaching until they change a city.

Noah had perseverance in his life.
-Noah lived in time when everyone was really evil.
-The Bible says the thoughts of every person were evil all the time.
-Noah decided to live for God.
-God was sending a flood to the earth to destroy everything so the earth could start over-that is how bad things had gotten
-The Bible said God was very sad with the evil thought people were having.
-God choose Noah to help him.
-God choose Noah to build a huge big arc-as bib as a football field.
-Bring to a kids level – imagine if God told you to do the same.
-Noah did not have electricity or cranes, or machines. He had a saw, a hammer, and nails. (Hold them up)
-All Noah’s neighbors wondered what he was doing.
-Nobody had even seen rain before, so they thought Noah had gone crazy when he started telling them about the flood coming.
-Everyday for about 100 years - that’s 36,500 days Noah and his sins did the came thing – Got up and worked on the arc.
-Noah had perseverance
-Noah’s neighbors made fun of him but he stuck to his project.
-Finish the story
vii. When the arc was done, the animals came
viii. Noah loaded up all the food they needed
ix. Noah and his family got on the arc.
x. Then the rain came – It rained for 40 days and nights
xi. The rain eventually dried up and Noah, his family and all the animals got off the arc and started the world over again.
xii. The first thing they did was worship God, and God promised He would never send a flood like that again.
