-Today I have brought with me some playing cards
-Cards are lots of fun – Who likes playing cards?
-What are your favorite card games?
-Today we are going to play a little game with these cards
-What 3 cards do I have? 10 of spades, King of Hearts, 2 of clubs
-Have kids repeat it with you several times.
-I am going to turn the cards over so you cannot see them. Now I need someone to come up here and pick the King of Hearts out of the cards
-To the Volunteer: When you pick the card you are not going to show anybody the card. I don’t even want you to look at it. You are going to hold the card close to you until I say to turn it around. Are your ready? Do you understand?
(Have them pick the card)
-Who thinks they picked the right card?
-What card did I ask them to pick?
-Have the volunteer show the audience.
-That is not the card I asked you to pick or is it?
-Who is that supposed to be a picture of Jesus.
-Boys and girls our volunteer did pick the right card. They picked the king of Hearts
-Jesus wants to be the king of our Hearts
(Have your volunteer sit down)

-We have a very important choice to make.
-Either we are going to live for Jesus or we are not going to live for Jesus
-Who knows the right choice? Decide to live for Jesus.
-When we decide to live for Jesus, then we are making Him the King of our hearts
-What does it mean for Jesus to be the King of our Hearts?
-What does a king do?
-He rules over a group of people
-He takes care of them
-He tells them what they can and can’t do
-He protects them
-Jesus wants to be the King of your Heart
-He wants to be your boss
-He will protect you
-He will tell you how to live
-He will take care of
-If Jesus is the King of our hearts, then
-TV can’ t be
-Friends can’t be
-Family members can’t be
-Famous people can’t be
Conclusion: Who wants Jesus to be the King of your heart? Pray with the kids.
