Verse: Keep what is good. Stay away from everything that is evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22
Props:
Electric mixer on a stand
mixing bowl
2 extension chords
plastic tarp
dishwashing liquid
eye dropper
small bottle
Instructions:
Put a tablecloth on the table. Set up mixer on a stand. Hide the actual mixer plug under the tablecloth (you could cut a hole in the table cloth). Run another extension chord to make it look like the mixer plug. Fill the mixing bowl with water and then saturate the water with clear dishwashing liquid –carefully so there are no bubble on the surface of the water. Make a “Supersuds” solution in a small jar (baby food jar).

Introduction:
-Today I have brought with me an invention I have been working on very hard over the last couple of weeks.
-When we clean up after Kidz Club we use a lot of soap and water – for dishes, dirty swimming stuff, tables, toys etc. . .
-I have been spending too much money on soap so I have invented “Supersuds”.
-You only need a very little bit of “Supersuds”.
-It should save us some money.
-Maybe someday I can sell it in stores and get rich.
-Today I am ready to show you “Supersuds” – the world’s most concentrated soap solution.
-Do you want to see it?
-To demonstrate I have brought my mixing bowl – It reminds me of how a washing machine works.
-I am going to put 2 drops of “Supersuds” in this bowl of water.
-Now just to show you how powerful it is- I am going to turn on my mixer – on low speed.
(Turn it on low speed and bubble should start to run over the edge of the bowl.
-Isn’t that amazing!!
-I know this is going to be very useful.
-Let me turn off the mixer and we will get to our lesson.
(Instead of turning off the mixer, turn it up – act all upset)
-How do I get this thing off –it seems like the switch isn’t working properly
(Frantically look around, panic, and start to try and think of another solution.)
-I’ve got and idea
(Get a pair of scissors, and cut the cord-it doesn’t work – cut it again- and again and again. Finally unplug the chord. There should be a big mess)
Discussion:
-What a mess I have made!!
-All this mess from just 2 drops of “Supersuds” solution.
-Even though I only used a little “Supersuds” - I guess I had a little too much.
-I just thought about something – Do you know what else you can have a little of and still have too much?
-Sin
-Is one lie too much?
-Is one bit of jealousy too much?
-Is one bit of hate too much?
-Is stealing one time too much?
-Is cheating one time too much?
-Is one unkind word too much?
Conclusion: The Bible teaches us to stay away from sin.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 says, “ Keep what is good. Stay away from everything that is evil.”
