Be Imitators Of God

Verse: Therefore, be imitators of God as dear children. Ephesians 5:1
Props:
1 volunteer
1 bottle of water
2 cups (not clear)
Slush powder (put in cup ahead of time)
Instructions:
Discussion:
-Choose a volunteer that promises to imitate (pledge)
-Yell, do jumping jacks, clap, touch your toes
-I am thirsty after all that exercising I am going to get a drink
-Pick up cup with slush powder in it and bottle of water - hand the person copying you the other cup.
-Remind person of their promise
-Pour water in your cup and give bottle to other person
-Hold cup over your head and "empty cup" (Your cup will have nothing come out but the volunteer will pour water all over themselves)
-Give volunteer a hand and a candy
-We can learn a very important lesson from our volunteer today.
-They tried very hard to imitate me and it got them into trouble.
-A lot of people spend a lot of time trying to imitate another person - a famous singer, sports star, and actor -someone who seems important.
-When we imitate other people we get ourselves into trouble
-The Bible teaches us to be imitators only of God.
