-Here I have a rock. Who loves my rock?
-Talk about what I could use this rock for.
-Right now I am going to express my love to this rock.
(I love you so much. I love the way you hold my paper down. My love for you outnumbers the stars in the sky. The day you came into my life you changed me forever.)
-Now I am going to wait for the rock to respond.
-Do you think this rock will ever love me back?
-This rock reminds me of how people respond to God’s love.
-God loves us so much. He expressed his love to us in many ways.
-Creation
-Taking care of us
-Protecting us
-Most importantly God expressed his love for us be sending Jesus. (Talk about Jesus)
-Going back to the rock, did this rock respond when I told it how much I loved it? NO.
-Many people never respond to God’s love just like this rock never responded to my love.
-The most important part of loving someone is showing our love whether it is love between two people or our love for God.
-If I told my mom everyday that I loved her and if I did things everyday to express my love for her, but my mom acted like this rock how would I feel?
-God tells and show us His love everyday. His greatest expression of love was when He sent Jesus to die in our place and take on our punishment for the bad things we do, but everyday most people forget to respond to God’s love. How do you think God feels about that? Sad.
