Discussion:

I. Our God is three persons in one.
A. Though it is hard for us to comprehend, our God is three persons in one - a Trinity.
1. In Genesis 1:26, God said “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness”
2. In Daniel 7:13, Daniel saw the Son of Man (Jesus) and the Ancient of Days (God the Father) together.
B. In some ways, the Trinity is like a triangle.
(Demonstrate with your triangle)
1. A triangle is one geometric shape, but has three sides.
2. The triangle is the most basic geometric shape.
(If you take away one side, there is no form left.)
C. The tree member of the trinity are equal to each other (Philippians 2:5-6

II. God sent His Word to become a man, so He could redeem us.
A. When the Word of God came to earth, He came as a baby.
1. The Word of God is the second Person of the Trinity.
2. He entered into Mary’s womb to be born as a child named Jesus.
3. Jesus laid aside all of His powers as the Son of God to become a man.
4. He left His memory and mental faculties in Heaven, so He had to learn and be taught like any man.
2. He left His creative power in Heaven, so He had to be anointed by the Holy Spirit to do miracles.
B. Jesus took upon Himself a human body, so he could die to pay for the sins of the
world.

III. The Holy Spirit honors Jesus in every possible way and always agrees with the Word of God.
A. The Holy Spirit does miracles in the Name of Jesus, but not in His own name or even in the name of God the Father.
1. No one can be saved without calling on the Name of Jesus.
2. The Holy Spirit always inspires men to magnify Jesus.
B. The Holy Spirit does not lead people to do things that contradict God’s Word.
C. We are to judge whether or not something is from God by what the Bible teaches us about it. (Use the box)

1. A true work of the Holy Spirit lifts up Jesus. A false work lifts up man.
2. A true work of the Holy Spirit can be found in the bible. A false work cannot.
3. A true work of the Holy Spirit leads to peace. A false work leads to confusion.
