hard-boiled egg
Wooden match
Narrow topped bottle (smaller than the egg)

Discussion:
Introduction:
-We have been learning how important it is for us to put our trust in God.
-What are some situations we need to trust God in?
-God wants us to put our trust in Him all the time even when a situation looks really impossible.
-Who thinks it is impossible to feed 5, 000 people with just a few fish and a few pieces of bread? Jesus did it
-Who thinks it is impossible to turn water into a drink that tastes good. Jesus did it. He was at a wedding and they ran out of wine. Jesus turned water into wine.
-There will be lots of times in our life that we face impossible situations.
-We need to put our trust in God.
-The Bible teaches us that, "All things are possible with God. . . ."
-Does it say 'some things'?
-Does it say "certain things"?
-The Bible says "ALL THINGS are possible with God"
Object lesson:
-Today I brought this egg with me.
-If I asked you to put this egg in this glass jar without breaking or smashing it - Could you?
-It seems like that might be impossible
-It doesn't really fit through the hole.
-It I force it in, I will break the egg.
-If I were to tell you that I can get this egg in this jar without the egg breaking, would you believe me?
Directions:
-Put a burning wooden match into an empty bottle (Starbcucks Frappachino bottle works great)
-Place a hard-boiled, peeled egg on top of the jar
-The Egg drops into the jar
Conclusion:
-I just did something that seemed impossible.
-The Bible says that with God All things are possible
-We need to put our trust in Jesus everyday because Jesus can help us through everything
-Even the things that seem impossible
