Introduction:
-What is this? (Hold up a compass)
-What does it do?
-Have everyone stand up and face north.
-Tell them where north is.
-Now have them face South, east, west
-When would you use a compass?
-Have other things that show directions (Maps, written out directions to a game)
When we decide to trust in God, He will direct our path.
-All these this we use for directions reminds me of a verse in the Bible
-Have a child recite Proverbs 3:6
-What does it mean to acknowledge Him?
-To declare
-How do we declare Jesus?
-Walk
-Talk
-Live like Jesus
-When we walk, talk and live like Jesus, He will direct our paths.
Conclusion:
-Did any of you have important decisions to make this past week?
-Life is full of decisions-what to wear, how to behave, what to do after school, how we do in school etc . .
-When we trust in God, He will help us to make the right decisions in life.
-Today you have a decision to make: What path are you going to follow?
