Discussion:

Hold up both pieces of chocolate. Talk about how good chocolate is. Talk about the kid's favorite chocolate dessert.

On the outside, both of these look like pieces of chocolate. However they are not. One of them is actually sort of like medicine. If you eat it you will spend a lot of time in the bathroom if you know what I mean.

We can learn a very important lesson from these 2 pieces of chocolate. What do you think that is?
-You should never judge someone by his or her appearance.
-Some people seem like they have it all together, they seem on the outside to be pretty, smart, wear the right clothes but on the inside they are something else - something we do not want in our life

What do you think is going to happen if we choose the wrong kind of friends to hang around?
-There will be consequences just like there is consequences to eating this chocolate
-You will start to become like them
-You will make bad choices
-You will forget about the things that are important to you.

Things to think about:
Are you hanging around someone who is affecting your life in a negative way?
What are you going to do about it?
