2. But His Word is more important to Him.
B. Gods Word is more important to Him than all His riches. (Hold up the money and jewelry)
1. God owns the earth and everything in it.
2. Heaven is filled with riches, too.
3. These riches are not as important to God as His Word.
C. Gods Word is even more important to Him than His Name. Read Psalm 138:2
(Hold up sign that says ”Jehovah”)

2. God expects us to value our words.
A. The Christian must not make promises he cannot keep.
1. When a person’s word means nothing to him, it loses its value. (Hold up the boys face and drop worthless pieces of metal through the boys mouth)
2.Other people judge us by whether or not we keep our word.
B. The person who keeps his promises has words of gold. (Drop the costume jewelry through the boy’s mouth.)
1. Other people respect those who keep their promises.
2. God watches to see if we keep our promises.
C. Sometimes its hard to keep a promise.
1. A faithful man keeps his word even when its hard to do.
2. He realizes that its better to have words of gold than words of junk.

3. If we do not value our words, we will not value Gods Word.
A. God watches over His Word to perform His promises - read Jeremiah 1:12
B. If we don’t believe our own words, we wont be able to believe Gods Word.
C. The person who keeps his word when its hard to do brings a blessing upon himself. (Drop jewelry and money through the boy’s mouth, catch it and put it in your pocket.)

D. The person who doesn’t keep his word when its hard brings worthless things into his life.(Drop the scraps of metal through the boys mouth and put them in your pocket.)
